What to have ready for a heat pump quote

Have a few details handy when you call. Then we can give you a useful answer straight away.

For a new heat pump

Which rooms you want heated, and roughly how big they are. Several rooms can run off one outdoor unit with a multi-room installation.
Whether the ceiling and underfloor are insulated. Whether the windows are single or double glazed.
Photos of where the outdoor unit could go. Show the wall, the ground below it and the gap to the fence.

For a repair or service

The brand. And the model number on the side of the indoor unit, if you can see it.
What’s wrong. Not heating, leaking, noisy, smelly or won’t turn on.
Any error code on the remote or display, or the pattern of flashing lights. Write it down or take a photo.
A photo of the outdoor unit and what’s around it.
When it was last serviced, if you know.
